Yes Wendell, I agree with your box in the upper left corner to stop censorship. And I suggest the first step should be with you and this site. Stop YOUR censorship!
Dave, in my opinion, you are way off base with your comment. This is a privately owned and run, professionally oriented forum with clearly outlined standards of acceptable use regarding profanity and personal attacks. Otherwise, people are pretty much free to express their opinions unless they persist or make threats.
I have no complaints about Wendell's decision to turn Politics and Religion off for today. I'm thankful he decided to leave the remainder of the site active for the day rather than shut it down entirely in opposition to SOPA and PIPA.
Here, you have no Constitutional right to "Freedom of Speech". I think he's been reasonable and even-handed and I don't know what your particular issues are. If you don't like Wendell's policies and decision, you are free to leave. Oh, I see you already did leave.

Privately-owned forum versus government censorship.
Interesting, I don't see the connection.

LOL. I don't care who ya are, that's funny right there.
:bad:
Dave, your post doesn't really follow along with your seminar of "Situational Ethics for surveyors"
