Wow! What a ride. I am truly humbled by the incredible response to this web site, and thank everyone here for making it possible. It's barely been online one month and it's nothing like my previous venture (BP). In fact, BP would have been elated with these same statistics in a year, maybe two. So to those who say this is just a reincarnation of BP, I think not. It is it's own creation and isn't bogged down by two other co-owners or a huge corporation. 😉
Anyway, on to the fun stuff!
45.93 gigabytes of bandwidth *gasp*
183 megabytes disk space (surprisingly low)
511,061 page views
46,049 visits (includes multiple visits per user)
11.10 pages viewed per visit
11 minutes 13 seconds per visit
12.27% bounce rate *Wow!* (50-60% would seem more normal)
5,293 absolute unique visitors
79.84% of visitors knew right where to go (beerleg.com)
7.72% of visitors found us by Googling
6.16% of visitors found us on Facebook
53,893 Alexa traffic rank for the U.S. (thru July 31st)
Pretty cool Wendell, I'm glad to see things working out for you. I wonder what the early stats are, for the *other board*....
This is exactly the kind format I like; easy to navigate, no big bells or whistles, just the posts. You shoudn't have to compromise to make money.
A business absolutely devoted to service will have only one worry about profits. They will be embarrassingly large.

A business that makes nothing but money is a poor business.

I'd wish you luck in the future, but I don't think you'll need it.
Good luck anyway!:-D
Cheers,

Those are amazing numbers and I'm glad to be part of it.
I think the most interesting number is the number of unique visitors as quickly as has happened. The other numbers are amazing as well.
Let the good times roll!
Good job, mate!
Agree with Dave. Amazing numbers! Good job Wendell and thanks for the site.

Wendell, let's not forget that a huge element of the success of this site is the site design itself. You were the guy who found the right software and adapted it to suit and you (and Angel) are the guy (and gal) who keep things running. We've seen a conspicuous failure at web design and implementation elsewhere, so I think you deserve full credit for being willing to build something that the users actually want and like.
Gotta agree with Kent, you and Angel have done a great job, and I appreciate it.
Congrats, Wendell.
In our world of technology and information, there's a lot to be said for "keeping it simple". I really love the website's format which allows me to jump in/jump out quickly and easily. There's a need for simplicity, just ask my wife who got a new cell phone and is completely frustrated. "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should" is a phrase many manufacturers and web designers should employ. We're overloaded with bells and whistles.
yes, WELL DONE!
Thank you guys! You all are awesome dudes!! :good:
Wendell is the one who deserves 99% of the credit, though. He has worked many tireless hours on here for you guys to enjoy the site. I just do whatever he tells me to do. Heck I usually have to pry him away from the PC now a days; that is how devoted he is. I am very proud of him, though. He is so talented and it is nice to finally see his surveying & web design talents come together here.
Thanks again for helping my hubby see his dream come true. It is one of the most blessed gifts one could EVER experience. I wish the same for all of you guys, too. 🙂

Aww...thanks! You're making me blush. :-$
I hope Wendell reads THIS! hehehe
