Beer Money Dues

Just tossed my membership dues in the jar.

Thats a better term than a donation. A donation is a gift with no expectation of receiving anything in return. Each of us expects this site to be here every day when we pull down our favorites and click on "Beer-Leg". Wendell has been giving us value and we have become accustom to getting it for free. I am more than happy to chip in.

Thanks Wendell

> Do what your conscience tells you is right to do. If you think it has value and is worth keeping around, it does not run on peanuts.

Speaking of peanuts...

The donation money is a wonderful gift and well wanted and received but we don't expect it. We knew going into this that we were going to have to use our own money, time, and effort if we wanted to build it to what it is today. We made this our full time job. It still is. Wendell sets aside all donation money for this site. (He can explain it better than I can.) The other bits of money we make off of here we pour right back into the site.

We really are NOT living high on the hog; we live in a small apartment; we don't buy a lot of stuff; we will splurge once in a while on something (like a new laptop, etc...)but even then I'm looking for a coupon or some sort of sale to get the best deal. We drive 12-15 year old cars and we take good care of our cars so we can get another 12 years or so out of them. I clip coupons. I bargain hunt. I am usually very frugal. But my frugality has been beneficial. We have stellar A+ credit. We have NO debt; NONE. ZERO...and plan to keep it that way. So you can imagine how scary it was when we dipped into our savings (before grandma died) and put it all towards Beerleg. But I had faith and knew that in doing that we were doing the right thing for every single person that is on our site today. 🙂

I hope this clears up any misconceptions or doubt and answers questions that have been asked. If it still doesn't well I suppose I could just scan my monthly bank statement and post it; then maybe some people will finally believe us.

I've known Wendell and Angel for close to 20 years - they are two of the most hard working and honest people I know! Angel is more of a skinflint that my hubby, and that is saying something! She is frugal and helpful to others when she can be. Trust me, there is NO WAY there are financial shenanigans going on from Wendell and Angel - of that I am positive!

OK - I'm going to be contrary ....

You should have left off on the first paragraph. The second is innuendo that I'm surprised to hear from one who offers continuing education in ethics.

Until I find the $1,000,000 he's been hiding from me stuffed in the inside of our mattress. 😉

Beer Money Dues> LEER?

That funny look on your face?

To look with a sidelong glance, indicative especially of sexual desire or sly and malicious intent.
n.
A desirous, sly, or knowing look.

Lear = Learjet is a manufacturer of business jets for civilian and military use. It was founded in the late 1950s by William Powell Lear Jr. as Swiss American Aviation Corporation. Learjet is now a subsidiary of Bombardier and marketed as the "Bombardier Learjet Family".

so, how much did that funny look cost you? 🙂
