Hi guys!!

I know some of you have ordered T-Shirts and are wondering "WHERE IS MY SHIRT??!" Well, please let me explain what is happening:

Here is the T-Shirt situation. We're looking for a company to get them made but it has been extremely difficult to find anything that is made in the USA. So we may have to go with a T shirt company that is here in the USA but gets their T-shirts from another country. Even our local guy wants more than we can afford. I may order them from an online shirt maker (Spread Shirt) and have them shipped direct. We'll lose about $1 per shirt, but at least the orders go out and no one has to wait much longer. Plus, Spread Shirt has a great reputation; Zazzle and Cafe Press puts out the crap while Spread Shirt puts out the high quality stuff. (From what I've reviewed anyhow.)

I originally wanted to get them ordered and pick them up directly because I (Angel) wanted to pack them and ship them to you myself. This way I know they are packed properly and done right and I can also add my personal "touch". I always send something "extra" with my packages along with a hand written "thank you". It is hard for me to just trust that a company will pack and ship the shirts to my standards.

Another problem we are running into is the cost. In order for us to get the price to break even on what we are selling the shirts for we have to order 50 shirts minimum. We have nowhere near that order amount and if we were to order that many we'd only be able to offer that size and color we order at the time.

The idea wasn't to make a killer profit on t-shirts but more to just break even and help get the word out. Maybe $1 or $2 here and there to help with expenses and all, but we weren't expecting a windfall. We will lose a little by sending out the current orders, but that is the risk we took and knew going in that we wouldn't lose much anyway if this happened. So no big deal, but without waiting too long, we want these shirts to go out to those who have already spent their hard earned money on them. Please stay tuned, they are on their way very soon. 🙂

Beer Leg T-Shirts-Update-NO-NO-NO

This is a business move for BeerLegs and should be treated as such. If you have to raise the price to $30 plus shipping then so be it.

You see people on this board complaining about low ballers in the survey industry. Do not low ball yourselves.

If you have to only offer certain sizes and one color then that is fine also. Your not a Walmart that can demand from suppliers a certain price.

I can only speak for myself but I purchase stuff all the time where a certain amount goes to a worthy cause. I know the product is higher because of this but I make the choice to support the cause. Beer Leg posters will support this board and I doubt they would feel that you are gouging them by getting a fair return so that you can continue to grow the business.

You folk are providing a great public service to us all. I see no reason to make it any more of a financial burden that it already is.
Keep my money and send a Tshirt when it works for you, or just simply ask me for whatever additional funds work for you.

Don't forget us full-figured guys as well. Omar the Tentmaker charges me more for the fat-boy sizes, so I don't see why you can't charge me extra as well.

Don't worry about the appearance of gouging. Like the gentleman from Lawton and others have pointed out, sell the shirts to make some extra cash to support the board. This board has value to us far beyond whatever few extra bucks it takes to purchase a shirt.

By the way, how do I order one?

Well, here's the thing:

There's only about 15 orders on the books. So we are only losing about 15 bucks. No biggie. I'm happy to do that in order to get the shirts out, no worries.

Angel is reviewing and investigating all the options we have going for us at the moment. John Giles was the first person to step up and offer to do the shirts for us, and I'd like him to have dibs on them, provided he is profitable and it is worth his while. Plus I love the idea that we are helping other surveyors with multiple capabilities, especially in these hard economic times. John is a really good guy and it's the least we can do to help him out. 🙂

As for me, I'll gladly pay $30-$40 for a tee-shirt if it helps subsidize your board efforts. 🙂

I don't see a link for the store. Did you take it down until this is figured out? I was going to buy a shirt for me and my wife for our birthdays and kind of forgot about it until I saw this post.

OH NO, NO, NO!! You do not want to go to Hawaii for a beer experience!! That is the home of PRIMO beer. And KIRIN from Japan!! They are NOT worth the trip!! Really nasty brews. It's the only state in the union where you MUST drink imported beer.

I sell on Zazzle and have ordered products from them, what did you read about the quality and where (I would like to read it)? I have not seen a problem with anything I have ordered!

Good luck finding a T-shirt place!
