Iƒ??m trying to include deflections in a large area (600 sq mi) triangulation survey. But the documentation isnƒ??t very clear on importing deflection files.

The Xi and Eta values are very dynamic over the area, so Iƒ??d like to import NGS deflections but not clear on steps.

I have Starnet v10 Pro.?ÿ

You use StarGeoid, vertical deflections, to build the file.?ÿ You will need the Deflect99 files (or what you want), https://www.ngs.noaa.gov/PC_PROD/DEFLEC99/dnpc99u.shtml of the bin file of your area.?ÿ As an example.

Grid #4(Xi) & Grid #4(Eta) (58 - 40 N & 281 - 300 E)

Fill in the blanks, build the file, path it in options of StarNet.

I don't know about starnet, but in geolab it uses the geoid model to computer deflections for each point. Deflect99, etc are simply the slope of the geoid model
