Hello all
I just bought a Trimble R8 GPS with 450-470 MHZ.

trimble

C08B37DE 2E04 4A30 A81C FA0A4EDDED9A

However I need it to work on 410-430 MHZ mine.

Is there any way that I can fix this without purchasing an entire R8 system?

This is the first time I am dealing with Trimble, and didn't realize there are all these different frequency compatibility etc..

Regards

Try downloading WinFlash for Trimble receivers. ?ÿWinFlash is Trimbleƒ??s PC software for configuring some of the ƒ??deeperƒ?? settings. You can add frequencies to antenna radios.

?ÿ

You might have to hunt and google a bit for WinFlash but it is online. You also need a serial to usb cable to connect the antenna to your PC.

You will probably need to replace the radio module.

As others have said, that is likely going to require a new hardware modem, there is a slight chance it is software changeable, check with Trimble to find out for sure.

Why do you need the one you just bought to operate on a different frequency range??ÿ?ÿ

Are you trying to use RTK with another R8 unit that has a radio of the different frequency range you stated?

You probably won't be able to reprogram the R8 to use a different range, i.e. 410-430 Mhz vs. 450-470 Mhz.

@robertusa?ý Because the site, we are on, uses 410-430 MHZ. I will probably have to sell the 450-470mhz and purchase a whole new system.

I thought maybe I can purchase this radio https://www.ebay.com/itm/Trimble-R8-Model-2-Rover-Receiver-410-430MHz-Bluetooth-Radio-Module-P-N-64235-62/233217448821?hash=item364cd7db75:g:JHsAAOSwfTlcgJkn

and change the radio.
