Hi, I have recently purchased some older Trimble R8 model 1 units, base & rover. I'm wondering if I will be able to use one of the units as a network rover. I know there isn't the capabilities to insert a sim, but if I had a TSC3 with Trimble Access 2017, would I be able to still use the R8 model 1 this way. I understand it will not be as accurate, without having the GLONASS satellites, but for GIS work I'm not bothered. I only have a TSC2 with SC 12.5, so I will be looking to get a TSC3, as my cheapest alternative.

I have a Trimble R8, Model 1 (GPS only).?ÿ I am a member of the Allterra (formerly Western Data Systems) VRS Network in Texas.?ÿ My Model 1 and my TSC2 only process CMR+ corrections.?ÿ My local network used to broadcast in both CMR+ and CMRx, now only in CMRx, therefore my Model 1 cannot be used as a VRS rover anymore.?ÿ If your network still broadcasts in CMR+, then I think you should be OK.
