We are using a Trimble R7 as a permanent base station at a long term jobsite. Yesterday, the R7 quit working and when our guys checked it, they found that the logging light and the SV light were lit up. Our research says that the GPS is in Monitor Mode waiting for new firmware. We can't get it out of monitor mode. Tried a hard reset with no luck.
We tried to connect to the GPS using winflash to reflash the firmware, but didn't have any luck getting it to connect (we were able to connect to an R10, so we know the computer and cables are good). We were told this could be a locked up COM port...
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this GPS out of monitor mode and back up and running??ÿ
