Never understood that $%&$! two meter pole, just a dinosaur from the old days I guess, back when there were all these assumptions about GPS, hated the thing, we all did actually.

The 2m Pole removed the possibility of a bad HI. Or, HR as you do big networks, such as HARN etc. (High Accuracy Reference Networks)
And, it got it high enough to reduce much multipath.

These days, we want a DRONE with a GPS on board, and a little red ball, with light inside it, and the drone FLIES a circle around the red ball, and generates a coordinate on the red ball, because it measures the distance to the ball from the drone. So, all we have to carry is the red ball, and the drone controller.
He he he this is stuff surveyors stay awake at night, thinking of.....

I got a chicken bucket receiver with the long battery. The battery screwed into a GRAPHITE range pole, it all added up to 2 meters,,,,,,,, YEAH!!!!!!!

Sounded so good

Till I used the mess

Went out, got a range pole cut down, extended to 5.5 feet would collapse to 3. Best thing I ever did. Life got better so fast
