All of the crews were out of town and I had immediate need to get some additional property corners located on a large rural boundary I'm doing for conservation easement creation.?ÿ The only GNSS equipment that was left was a backup set of R10 model 1s.?ÿ Holy Crap what a difference.?ÿ They did not perform near as well as the last time I had my hands on the upgraded model 2s.?ÿ This is merely one anecdotal instance, there may have been something else going on, but I only saw between 12-15 SVs in the solution all day, had to abandon several points where the sky was more than 50% open.?ÿ I'm fairly certain the model 2s would have quickly located the points replete with verification shots post re-init.?ÿ?ÿ

I don't have any R12s, yet, but from what I understand there's currently no difference between the '12 and the upgraded 10.2.

That's right, you can absolutely not compare an R10-1 with an upgraded R10-2 == R12.
