Anyone seen one of these? A departure from their old naming system for survey grade GPS units. It is listed under "infrastructure" .

It kept popping up on FB so I got curious and checked it out.?ÿ Seems that it is primarily designed for CORS, semi-permanent reference stations etc.

But is is waterproof, etc. Pricing is interesting. Basic unit is $13,000. Galileo and Beidou are each $1500 extra.?ÿ

I also recently looked at an R9s. Basic unit is $2305, which I guess does nothing. Base only mode is +$9700, base and rover mode is +$8400 (on top of base mode cost).?ÿ

I believe none of these is a hardware upgrade, just pay the man and get the code to turn it on.?ÿ

Sooooo...

2305 does nothing

+9700 = 12,005 base only

+8400 = 20,405 base AND Rover

or

2305 + 8400 = 10,705 rover only

What a deal!

?

or maybe base & rover is cheaper than just base only, which doesn't sound like Trimble.

First I've seen of it; it appears to be the next generation infrastructure receiver, it specs out much better than the NetR9:

I would think this thing would be great for any semi-permanent or permanent reference station, CORS, scientific research, monitoring, etc.
