Hi all,

have a chance to pickup a hardly used GR5 base and rover setup along with topcons external radio link the SRL35. I can see that the GR5 will work with Spectra precision survey pro 5.4 but i do not see an external radio option for the SRL35 only pacific crest external radios.

anyone have any experience with this? i would love to have that srl35 if it works because we have many gr3 and HiperV systems that we could share that radio with i am just not sure its going to work with survey Pro. and i refuse to switch to magnet.

Thankyou

That is just a satel radio painted yellow.

It can be used as a base radio or a repeater. To use is a base, you just tell your controller to use external generic radio, and point it to proper port and baud. The radio configuration is does on the satel radio using hardware button and onboard screen. No software needed. It is a very good radio.

Features:
High output power of up to 35Watt*
Wide 70 MHz (403-473 MHz) operating range
User selectable channel spacing (12.5, 20 or 25 kHz)
Fully compatible with 3rd party radio broadcast such as Satel, Trimble and Pacific Crest
Multi-function user interface to indicate current operating status and configure the radio modem
Automatic prevention of overheating
Industry standard IP67 rating to withstand harsh surveying and construction environment

I think I have the same radio but different GPS units but in survey pro we use the "generic serial" option for the radio.

A warning, if its narrow banded, its a battery hog. Ours does have excellent range though.
