In April 2019 I pointed out that NGS had an error in the calculation of?ÿ 1/f?ÿ in their
publication "Procedures for Design and Modification of the State Plane Coordinate
System of 2022". That's only 6 months (fast for the Govt., I guess) to publish the correction.
See page 10 for the new value which is correct, NOW. They also increased the number
of significant digits from 18 in the first publication to 21. What I also find strange is they
give a value to 12 significant digits (6 lines down from top of page 10) when T. Vincenty
in the 1980's calculated it to 14 significant digits. See ?ÿNOAA Manual NOS NGS 5
on page 13 (2nd line down from top of page).
