I wish there was a good user guide. (JOB AID) When using a vrs brodcasting cors 96 do this. When it is broadcasting 2011 do this. When using a job with NAD83(cors96) old control do this. Then create a new job pic NAD 83 not ITFR to 2011. Enter the global lat long here. Enter the local lat long here..............I wonder how many people have introduced the 3' shift and don't even know it. I just got a job in with the 3' shift introduced in half of the job. Two different data collectors. The frustrations.

There is no 3' trimble shift, only GIGO created by users.

It's why ground control is so important.

I'm always on NAD83, but there are many NAD83's. I never assume which one was used before I get there.

You are correct on the GIGO. This is a case of the user typing in the control as a state plane coordinate. He then choose the wrong datum. A shift was done. But when you check into a control point where everything has been shifted you never see it.
