The Space Weather Prediction Center stated that severe geomagnetic storm occurred at 09:58 am EDT. Among the affects this kind of storm may have is "Navigation - Satellite navigation (GPS) degraded or inoperable for hours."

I have had fun this morning watching the alerts come in from K of 6 to 7 to 8. If it clears I hope to see some lights tonight. Big If.
