I have a RINEX file with a little over 30 minutes of data. I want to process a file with just the first 15 minutes and then process another with just the last 15 minutes (could be 16 or 17 or whatever) through OPUS-RS.

My question is, when I do the first part of the file and remove the data at the end I do not have to change anything in the header to get it to process. When I remove the data at the beginning it will not process. Why? I tried changing the time of first observation to match the data portion of the file but that didn't do it. I swear I have done this before successfully. What am I forgetting/missing?

I feel your pain. When I have to do that it gives me fits. What's worse is when you log multiple static shots to the R8 rover and want to make separate files from each observation. It seems to be iterative for me trying this and that until it rolls. @John Hamilton or @Loyal seem to be the rinex gurus.

You might trying using this. Works slick for me for what you're describing. Have had very mixed success using a text editor to do same.

Doesn't like long file paths so works best if you put your Rinex input file in the same folder as the TEQC editor.

Good luck.

Hey thanks! That appears to have worked. I've been doing it manually through notepad up to this point.
