I would appreciate input from Carlson SurvCE user regarding the GPS Search function. I am running the most recent version (4.06).
If you are using this function successfully with a Windows Mobile data collector that has internal GPS/GNSS, could you share which data collector it is?
I am asking this as I am experiencing issues with my DC (that shall remain nameless for now) and am looking at either getting a Windows Mobile unit that works or switching to a Windows Tablet with SurvPC.

I've only used it when I reviewed the Supervisor with SurvPC. It worked. It was very new at the time and I recall it being a little quirky then.
The only time I got it work on the surveyor2 was on a job that was already on nad83 coordinates. And even then at a range closer than 150 feet it was aimed about 50 feet from me. You definitely have to turn on the box that says ignore elevations.
