I reported a bunch of recoveries in the last couple months, and as I look at the results I see someone is editing them to provide dual units.?ÿ I submitted one that gave an approximate tie from a field drive crossing the RR tracks.?ÿ I put it in yards so no one would think I had taped it to the nearest foot.?ÿ See what I got:

120 YDS (109.7 M) NORTHEAST OF A FIELD DRIVE

Aarrgg!

Take heed; do the conversions yourself in your recovery reports so the result doesn't look idiotic.

Good to know.

Note to self:?ÿ report approximate distances as "paces" instead of "yards".

It appears a lot more editing is getting done than in prior years.?ÿ Things used to appear nearly verbatim as submitted.?ÿ

I saw one data sheet that had a couple "Good" logs but the words said the disk was stamped as Reset.?ÿ I looked over the situation and reported a Not Found, that there was no bridge or large concrete remaining at the location described for a disk to be in, but there was a reset on the other side of the realigned street, that the prior reports were wrong, and ties to the reset.?ÿ

The data sheet now has an abbreviated version of my report, nothing about the reset other than it exists, and they changed the prior logs to NF.
