My son just got 3 pm2's and can run them pretty good for a rookie, setup and all. He's having problems post processing in GNSS Solutions, he can download and adjust, etc., but he and I don't know how of if you can export points to his cad program for drawing all his Stop & Go shots. Any help (Paul, Phil or Mark) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

I am happy to just do static work. The last time I did PM2 Stop & Go was before I had GNSS Solutions. Early on with GNSS I wrote some special report subroutines, but that was a few versions ago.

Alas I cannot even look in my Solutions for a hint. In the midst of setting up my new desktop, my laptop with all my work did a crazy crash. I have some basic configuration yet getting happy with Win 7, before lading my work programs/

Since today was the last day of flintlock deer season, I will get around to pulling the laptop hard drive next week.

It was beautiful today, snow most of the day, high of 20°. At 5 PM the only other hunter out there today shot a 160# antlerless buck in a group of nine. They headed back toward my parents homestead, none in my direction. It was his first flintlock deer, and we talked a while. Then my cousin stopped his snowplowing to see how we had done and we talked outside for another hour.

It's been a number of years since I used the PMs. But I seem to remember (if you have the Ashtech software) you could generate a report in MS Word. I believe you could pick either geodetic or SPC for the format. I would do that, then "cut & paste" the X,Y,Z into just a plain ascii file. Lotsa "teejus" work, but that's what we did.

In AS you should see a row of buttons along the top, on the far right there should be one with a folder symbol and an green arrow pointing down to the right. That is the export button. You have a couple of options: Ascii, Ashtech, TDS, and Blue Book. I always chose the ASCII and then created a customized template arranging the data as I needed it.

Also, you might want to check into GNSS, the last time I checked, it was free for L1 processing and it has a good deal more options than AS did.

Thanks everyone....he has downloaded GNSS Solutions and the options for exporting points are TDS CR5, Carlson and a couple of others....if ASCII was included there would be no problem...

I have v3.10.11 and it like the previous versions has a definable export function

Under the project tab, choose export geo data to file
to the right of Format select the ADD tab (looks like a sheet of paper)
New window will open and give a custom format for a ascii text file output
You can put in a header if wanted or just build a custom format body for the output sequence
Name the output file type
Click the cursor inside the box
Insert the options in the order your software is setup for
If you are unsure of the format, there is an option Load Sample File where you can analyze a file that works with your software

There should be a copy of the manual where he found the download for the GNSS software

Get in touch with either JD or Shawn Billings.

They can help I am sure.
