I'm new to the Topcon GR 5 world and am attempting to use a PacCrest PDL radio on my base. I've successfully configured the settings of the PDL using PdlConf.exe software and have the radio transmitting fine, however the Rover radio is not picking up the PDL signal. I've checked that frequencies and radio settings appear the same but must be missing something.

If anyone out there has done this, and may know of a step I may have missed, I'd greatly appreciate some guidance.

Thanks!

A PDL is an older radio. Is it transmitting 12.5 or 25 spacing? Some of the old radios cannot be narrow banded.

I am assuming your modulation and link rate are set identical. Topcon link rate for GMSK is 4800 while 4FSK is 9600. I went though this with Hiper V and a TDL-450H.

I would be more than happy to talk with you about it. Good luck!
