Been using a sokkia grx1 for more then 10 years so time to upgrade. When browsing for new gear i came across the traditional ones but also tought of my wallet. I'm not measuring complete days, just the odd control point or roadway as i scan 90% of the time.
So spending like 25k?ª didn't seem worth the investment so i looked around and came about Comnav. In the beginning i was skeptical also to buy something from non traditional brands.?ÿ
But i bought this unit after some excellent testing reviews from dedicated surveyors on LI. The price is 1/5 of a Trimble one but this one also has an imu, tracks all satellites,....
It can certainly compete with major brands. I just tested today by measuring a Belgian Geodetic Point to see the results.
Pics aren't that good but you can see it performs excellent. I'm very happy with my new kit.

I will test an N3 IMU (k8 version) and a N2 IMU (k8 version too) today. Wich software do you use?
my dream is to use a very lighweight GNSS with my 360 Leica Prisme combined wth a software taht allows me to work in hybrid mode with both intrument toegether. Any idea?
Are you still happy with the ComNav N3? What about the possibility to take measurement under canopy ect...?
