Finally, OPUS-RS got enough CGPS data to produce a solution. I got the warning about not being inside the polygon, but what I really wanted to see was this:

[pre]
SOFTWARE: rsgps 1.37 RS51.prl 1.99.2 START: 2015/01/18 00:34:15
EPHEMERIS: igu18280.eph [ultra-rapid] STOP: 2015/01/18 01:10:30
NAV FILE: brdc0180.15n OBS USED: 2925 / 2943 : 99%
ANT NAME: TRM22020.00+GP NONE QUALITY IND. 33.27/ 3.82
ARP HEIGHT: 0.000 NORMALIZED RMS: 0.333
[/pre]

It used almost all the data collected by the repaired receiver, despite the fact that the antenna was in a crappy location (sitting on top of my truck's tool box as it was parked in the driveway, sky blocked to the north by trees and to the south by the house).

Well, I must say you seem to be holding up well under the burden of having discovered that one can buy perfectly good geodetic-grade GPS receivers for only tens of dollars instead of the hundreds or even more that were most likely thrown away in stocking your equipment locker. :>

I'm buoyed by the fact that the entry point for static GPS has dropped to such a low level. At the price this equipment is now fetching, I'm much more comfortable leaving receivers unattended, thus making it possible to do more work with fewer people.

Edit: But yes, I do blanch a bit when I consider what I've paid for some of it, and I generally got in cheap.

A lot of geriatric RTK receivers that can't fix work fine as static receivers.

I Missed That Jim

That receiver just went for $227.50. A pretty good deal if you need one, as it's probably in good working order. Add an antenna, battery and cables and you've got a good OPUS system.

I didn't need it that badly, so didn't compete. I would have taken it at $165 shipped just to have another in the stable.
