Finally getting around to reading the presentations. Professor Jekeli's is excellent and is understandable without a lot of maths background.

Lots of good slides to copy for future reference. Some very interesting history and images as well. Who knew Lucien LaCoste died in 1995 (at age 97). Interesting article about him is here: https://web2.ph.utexas.edu/utphysicshistory/UTexas_Physics_History/Lucien_LaCoste.html

The availability of non-US gravity meters was also unknown to me. Things have certainly changed since I used the Model-G (analog). Like many older instruments, the personal factor was quite important.
