I have this ground roof plummet in the leather boz without a tribrach which I am looking to sell. They seem to be rare enough I am having a hard time setting a value on it. Does anyone have an idea of value or an offer?
Never heard of a ZBL, perhaps it's a ZNL?

TIL - from Virtual Archive of Wild Heerbrugg
The Wild ZNL Zenith and Nadir Plummet is used for vertical plumbing through great distances and is invaluable to the builder, the engineer and the surveyor when working through heights which are too large for the normal theodolite plummet. Being detachable from the tribrach the ZNL (which has a plumbing accuracy of 1/30 000) can be centered over or under the required point and then replaced by the theodolite with guaranteed forced-centering. For some tasks, particularly those connected with large constructions, the ZNL can be used as an independent instrument. For the surveyor it is particularly useful when working on towers. Further details are given in our leaflet G1 117e.
A smaller version, the Wild ZBL, Roof and Ground Plummet, is similar in design but has a shorter range and an accuracy of 1/10’000.
It is a ZBL, the smaller version referred to in the text you attached. It is commonly used in mines. It is the same unit as discussed in this thread - http://beerleg.com/index.php?mode=thread&id=169060 - only without the tribrach.
I bought a ZBL a couple years ago for about $500 on ebay from the UK. I didn't get a case or any box, just the instrument.
I've always wanted a ZNL but they are very hard to find probably cost a couple thousand. There is a company making a new plummet that would be about the same as a ZNL. I believe it goes for about $4000.
That plumment shown in the liked ebay listing is like the one I bought. It's a ZBL not a ZNL. There is a big difference.
I have a TNL 16 and I wonder what the 16 stands for. I also have a T-1 that has a "Telescope Roof Plummet" probably was set up like that to be used in a mine, it also has a compass mounted on the standards.
I notice the ZNL is referred to as a "Zenith and Nadir Plummet" and the ZBL is called a "Roof and Ground Plummet"
Anyway, I would be interested in the ZBL... even w/o the tribrach. Please shoot me an email. Let's see if we can work something out.
