It appears as thought the radio board is out of my HIPER LITE+ Base. I was quoted 2K to fix it. I don't use the RTK that much and utilize VRS mostly when I do, so I am not thinking the return on the repair will be there for me.

The unit is 5 years old, GD, 4 MB RAM, clean, with chargers and all cables, etc. What is this thing worth as is? It would make a good static unit (OPUS) for some one or is repairable.

I would also entertain a PROMARK 3 in good shape or other L1 units as a partial trade.

Thanks,

Matt

Do you happen to know if the range limit (1.5 miles) and the D port is unlocked? I think that's a $2500 upgrade with the Hiper Lites. I'm pretty sure that even the base unit can be used as a VRS Rover with the right upgrades. We had two Raven Modems, that plug into the D port, and with the range limit removed, both units could be used as a Rover on the Florida DOT network.

Just curious, what type of modem/cell connection are you using for your VRS connection with the Hiper Lites?

The unit has extended range limited at 2.5 miles, I'll have to check on the port.

I am using a data plan off of US Cellular via a feature phone bluetoothed to my Carlson Explorer 600+ which is then cabled to serial port A on the rover. As long as I stay within 2.5 of my virtual base location, all is good...
Thanks,

Matt
