I have an ancient and old dinosaur Leica TCA 1100 (old army dark green) robot that I bought in 1998 from Seiler in Indianapolis. I believe that at that time it was the 3rd (Leica?) robot in operation in Indiana. A friend of mine owned the 2nd one at that time. He has since let it go to a former employer, and he is considering making them an offer to purchase it back.

In 2010 you all here helped me to get mine refurbished by way of a "TDS Ranger 500x with robotic software and Bantam bluetooth radios" setup from Chad Randolph at Earl Dudley. I shipped the gun to them and they shipped it back to me in full robotic operation. I have been kicking a$$ with "her" ever since. The upgrade cost me roughly $5k.

How much should my friend offer his former employer to re-acquire his dark green "baby"?

It will likely come "as-is", meaning a paperweight dust collector from off the shelf, plus maybe a rod and 360° prism, if he is lucky.

What do you all think?

Sold or completed ebay listings is always a nice stating point ascertain values of old stuff.

Try this.

Although, I don't think anything produced after 1969 should ever be considered old.
