I recently bought a pretty decent little th43 and was interested in getting a manual. If anyone has one that they'd sell (or scan) it would be greatly appreciated. I need to do some cleaning and adjusting of it and hesitate to go in blind.

thanks!

The manual can be found by typing in "Zeiss TH-43" in the search box. I found it using Bing and is available for download.

I emailed Zeiss and asked them, they had a pdf copy they sent me back. I'd speculate that they have a lot of manuals for "historical instruments". I set up this TH43 and it's just a beautiful piece of equipment, superb optics and that great feel of an all metal theodolite. Nice to not have a micrometer, too.

Do you want another theodolite?

I have a Th43 here that but for my frugal nature would have gone to the landfill years ago.

It took a fall or otherwise suffered trauma, now the tilting axis is bound up.

It has the adapters for a top-mount EDM. It does not have the leveling base, just the brass shaft coming out of the bottom of the instrument. S/N 78660, co-branded Keuffel & Esser.

It is yours (or anyone elses, if you decline or do not respond in a day) for cost of shipping.
