Anyone have a two or three meter invar rod strut they'd care to part with.
If I buy them from NEDO they cost more, with the shipping from Germany, than a calibrated rod.
In the longshot event anyone has one AND is willing to part with it, you can contact me at; [email protected]
Thanks.

If 2-meter struts are acceptable, you can buy the SECO part that they use on their 2M GPS tripods. You might have to fabricate a bracket for the rod to accept the strut, but then again it might fit as-is.

The good thing about the SECO struts is that every now and again one of the tripods pops up on eBay. There's not much of a market for them, so the discount from the new price is usually pretty steep.

I went the fab route so I can swap struts from one of my tripods to the rod when necessary (which isn't very often!).
