Hello, up for is a Carl Zeiss Ni2 Level with case (the aluminum tripod legs and level rod are not included). It is in very good condition and it hasn't been used for over 15 years, however the focus knob is slipping and will need servicing. It seems to focus (at least sporadically) beyond say 150' to maybe 200-250', however turning the focus knob does nothing outside of that range. It feels as though it is slipping or something. I have no idea how to repair it or what is involved with repairing it. I am selling it as-is for parts or for repair. I am selling it due to moving to Europe this fall. It seems to still level up fine and the last time I had used it many years ago the level closed a benchmark run within tolerance.

I am asking $150 plus $36.70 for shipping the instrument and case. Shipping would be half that amount if you do not want the case. I have a set of aluminum legs I am selling too but it probably is not very feasible to ship those. I can take payment with paypal, I have already made quite a few large sales on fishing forums (I had a lot of fishing equipment). I will ship it promptly inside the case for protection. I will only ship to the lower 48 states. Thank you for looking.

Where are you?
I'm sure some of the surveyors here would prefer to pick up in person

I am located in South Orange County in California. Local pickup is no problem, you are welcome to come and see it. I also have a set of old aluminum legs and a plumb bob here as well. I have a couple instruments in NJ/NY too that I will be selling in a few months over there after I move out of here and before I move overseas.
Price reduced to $100 + shipping.
