I have two Allegro CX data collectors that I'm looking to trade in. I was wondering if someone could estimate a good trade in value. They both have SurvCE 2.62 with Total Station and GPS turn on, no robot. I'm not sure on the memory, but I am thinking it is 512Mb. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're interested in either one, please email me. I can get pictures this evening when the crews come in.

Steven
Does Allegro work with Trimble R8 or 5700 and do they have blue tooth?
Do you have an idea of how much for one of the units if they would work with Trimble?

Don,

Yes the units have bluetooth. They can communicate using Trimble protocols, but I've never done it. Actually, I've never tried to get a 3rd party to work with Trimble, but I know it can be done. I'm assuming you have an external radio to broadcast your RTK corrections.

If either the R8 or 5700 have bluetooth capabilities, The Allegros can communicate with them.

I do know that these units do NOT have Wifi, so if you need VRS corrections, that is going to be an issue.

Steven

I have an Trimble R 5800 that I want to pair with my data collector
Long story short I can't seem to do it with my existing and I am looking to upgrade
I was wondering if it would be possible to come by your office to see if I could pair it with the Allegra .
Not a big rush and only if it is convenient . I live in Friendswood.

We currently use both at this moment and the field crews are in Plano today, then in Huntsville for the rest of the week.

By the looks of the SurvCE demo, you can connect to the 5800 and to the R8s. I will try to schedule them to allow me to have one in office and I'll let you know.
