Wendell, this looks like a good session. Do you have any suggestions about the best place to fly there from Phoenix? I have looked at Eugene and Portland, but wonder what Corvallis has.

thanks
Jerry

If it were me, I'd fly into Eugene - it would avoid all of the traffic in Portland and I-5 through Salem can be pretty crowded during the day.

There are no commercial airports in Corvallis. Only ones closest to Albany are PDX (Portland) and Eugene. It all depends on how much you want to spend on a ticket and how fast you want to get here as to which airport to fly into. Phoenix has non-stops to PDX, and Albany is about an hour or so from there via I-5. Traffic wont be too bad if you come through when it is not rush hour. Heck even rush hour here is NOTHING like down there. You would go right by us, of course!! 🙂

Eugene is probably a bit closer to Albany. The airport is smaller and easier to get in and out of, but I don't think there is any non-stops there from Phoenix.

Yes, Eugene is considerably closer to Albany than Portland is. Even if it costs more to fly to Eugene, I'm sure the overall trip would be less expensive and much more convenient.

Cows, an unfortunate choice for a college mascot name, and about 20,000 frustrated students that wish they had gone to school in Eugene 😉
