Anyone here going? I'll be speaking next Tues AM on the subject of low distortion map projections with Trimble software. Come by to say hello if you are in Vegas next week.

I am not but have a trimble question. We are trying to figure out how to download a Trimble Digital level and it is giving us fits. The quick reference guide has little to no information. The data manager does not seem to recognize the level. Any suggestions?

It depends. The older levels only had a serial port interface. I always downloaded that using hyperterminal, set to capture mode.

The newer models have a USB interface. Make sure you have the most recent data transfer. There is a selection in there for DINI Digital Level (you may have to add it-I can't remember).

Hi John,

I signed up for your talk, so I am certain we will see each other...LOL

See you there.

Scott

Hopfully someone from Focus got back to you about pricing for your aerial target project. I've been off on another assignment so I haven't had a chance to follow up.

John and Scott...I will be there.

I think I signed up for your talk John, but I cannot remember if it conflicted with another session or not.

Too many good sessions to choose from!

Hope to see you guys there...

Scott: I am signed up for yours as well.

No, I never got an answer about that project. My client didn't bug me, so maybe they found another surveyor. I explained the situation to them.

Yes, there are a LOT of good sessions. As in the past, I would encourage people to go even if you don't use Trimble gear. It is not just a Trimble lovefest with nothing but PR stuff. There are a lot of users who present their ideas and solutions.

Overscheduled? Does that mean there is a waiting list? Man, I better be entertaining...LOL.

The best way to link up with me is to come by my presentation just as we are wrapping up for lunch, say at about 12:20 or so on Tuesday. I may not be the best candidate for you due to other responsibilities that I have on the horizon, but I can certainly point you in an excellent direction.

The Focus manager organizing our trip has told me that he is planning company branded shirts for us to wear at Dimensions. They are intended to pparently have Focus staff 'stand out' in a crowd. I can hardly wait.... I'm a big guy to begin with; I don't need a lot of extra help in that department.

There will be ten of us in attendance at various sessions. If you see someone from Focus, they will know where to find me.

Scott
