So, in the past I??ve found online CEU classes underwhelming. Like the one that solely emailed me the USACE hydrographic survey manual to read and answer questions from. ?ÿ
But now, during the plaguetide, I was thinking....why doesn??t everyone post links to their state societies online classes/seminars in a thread here? ?ÿI don??t know about you, but I??d rather see my CEU dollar go a state surveyors society than to some commercial outfit that just produces bare minimum regurgitated content.?ÿ
That is an excellent idea, however, during our ongoing catastrophe finances for many are tight. Even if finances aren??t a problem some people have a problem spending $600 or more for these CE courses. I am as loyal to my State Society as the next guy, but if I have the opportunity to obtain my CE??s by an approved provider for $80 as opposed to $600 its a no brainer.

Our class is finishing up today, I'm sure they would have been happy to accept anyone that wanted to attend remotely. We are running it in the conference room at the office which is better than I thought.
I would suggest that the state societies do some type of reduced price for other surveyors in distant locations, might be a way to raise more money.?ÿ
I drove to Springfield, MO to attend MSPS meeting a week or so ago and paid 165 dollars. When I got there Gary Kent was being blasted on the screen - prerecorded.?ÿ
