Hi all,
I am trying to get ready for the New Mexico State Specific Exam. I am already licensed in Arizona and my company is asking that I get licensed in NM. Other than re-reading the BLM manual and the New Mexico Surveying rules and other surveying-related documents available on the Board website (and if I'm feeling up to it, I will probably re-read Brown, etc.) is there a study guide or some areas I should be spending more time studying than others?
Any info or feedback would be appreciated.
Cheers, Andrew

NM State Plane coordinates, there's a publication called "The New Mexico Coordinate System, A practical Manual for Surveyors" by Robert B. Stephenson that's a great study guide. Road right of ways widths for counties and the state. Check the county webs sites and NM Department of Transportation for this information.
Good Luck!
I've looked for this book on the internet. Does anyone know where it can be found?
Also, are there any specific links or texts regarding the ROW widths?
I hope you have better luck finding those publications than I did when I took it I finally order a study guide for New Mexico from some place in Carolina that was pretty good. The test was pretty easy I thought as for as State Exams go. I think I only needed my calculator on 2 questions. It was supposed to be a 2 hour test and i finished it in 45 minutes and I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, so I wouldn't get to stressed about it. If you can find someone to tell you what spot on the Railroad rail R.O.W. markers that the highway uses is the actual point let me know.
The Copy of "The New Mexico Coordinate System" I have came from Holman's in Albuquerque. The contact info in the publication lists:
