Awaiting mail from DE.

The 8-10 weeks it took from MD last spring was rough. But that moment, when I opened the envelope (and read good news), made up for it.

I took my first round in Utah back in 2000. Back then you took all the tests and applied after you passed. It was a 10 month process. Idaho shifted to the take home State exam which took the torture out of waiting. I am hoping for good news from Washington next. If that goes well Oregon is last for me.

Good luck on DE...

Hopefully Indiana won't forget to let me know this time.

Something in the Indiana state codes bars them from contacting me about my application status.

So you have sent in your application and have been waiting months to see if you are accepted? Wow! Did you apply under the education, experience or both?

I believe the "Indiana Correspondence With The Separatist" ordinance of 1863 may still be on the books.

I applied last spring. They tabled my application and did not tell me about it until a few days after the deadline to sign up for the test. NCEES allowed a work around so I could apply. Then I took the test and didn't hear anything. I finally emailed them and got the response, "Oh, so and so should have sent you a letter telling you that you failed." Three weeks later, which was about the end of January, I finally received official notice.

Now, I will say this. They have always been quick to respond and address an issue I point it out to them. Dealing with them has been a pleasure compared to an un-named surveyor's board far, far to the south.

Ha, they probably cross checked my application with the SCV membership roll.
