Looks interesting, unfortunately we are already going down to WA later this month.
I have been thinking about it, just so busy though

It was real close to me last year in Mobile and I regret not making it for even one day. Too much going on at the time even though it was only a two hour drive.
These folks that are keeping the flame alit of the historical surveyors and surveying are vital to the profession.

It was a great Rendezvous with interesting field trips, presentations and I got to meet up with some great people. It was nice to get to talk with you Scott!
Wish I could. I had no idea these things had so much educational content as well as the fun stuff.
Rendezvous 2015, Day 4, Sucia Island
New kiosk explaining the surveys of Sucia Island
Heading out to restore some damaged monuments
Each team was tasked with finding a specific monument and placing a concrete collar around it. We were given a small bucket of concrete mix, a couple of bottles of water and a second bucket for mixing. After some over-zealous excavation, we realized we wouldnÛªt have enough concrete to complete the job but a little field engineering involving a Swiss army knife and a sacrificed bucket solved the problem.
Sorry I had to miss this one; would've been great to see old friends again..:'(
Looks like you all had great weather. Please don't tell anyone else; we're trying to keep it a secret....
New York State looks like fun! I might start saving up for that one. Ain't never been there; is it nice? Will I get to meet the modern day Colvin Crew?
