It needs to be a:
Hatchet/brush axe/broad cutter
(Can blaze trees, line)
Hammer, pin pounder with waffle head
Rebar bender/puller/straightener
Between 3 and 4 LBS.
Well balanced.
And good digger, up to a foot deep.
(Daydreaming)

Every 3 to 4 pound hammer is a rebar straightener. Swing the rebar and strike the head of the hammer at the bend. Grip the rebar tight or the vibration is no bueno...
I should have said for the SOLO surveyor, on foot.

Something like this with a digger.
That would be considered a burglary tool if it was in the trunk of your car. ????
Although its got only one review, it's five star, and apparently SWMBO is happy.

I just bought 3 of these,?ÿ (1 for each of my crews and 1 for me at home)
its my go to shovel for almost everything

I keep a piece of 3/4" id pipe with me to straighten pins. It works for most and is far better than sinking a stupid nail where the iron turns.
I have a length of 2" I'd for those big ones.
?ÿ
A quality, oversized, and re made one of these. Out of quality steel.

Here ya go Natester,
????
That looks like a great tool for loamy soil, especially where there are a lot of roots. But in rocky ground I think all of its sharpend edges would quickly get dulled, after which it would just be a funny-looking shovel.
I have always been a big fan of estwing solid steel hatchets.?ÿ
Hatchet / chisel / sod cutter / nail puller and lays flat against your back while driving.
I refer to this as a B.A.P. Tool (Big Ass Pipe)
Hey, that was shot at Hoober's in everyone's favorite town...
