It needs to be a:

Hatchet/brush axe/broad cutter

(Can blaze trees, line)

Hammer, pin pounder with waffle head

Rebar bender/puller/straightener

Between 3 and 4 LBS.

Well balanced.

And good digger, up to a foot deep.

(Daydreaming)

Nate

Every 3 to 4 pound hammer is a rebar straightener. Swing the rebar and strike the head of the hammer at the bend. Grip the rebar tight or the vibration is no bueno...

That would be considered a burglary tool if it was in the trunk of your car. ????

Although its got only one review, it's five star, and apparently SWMBO is happy.

I keep a piece of 3/4" id pipe with me to straighten pins. It works for most and is far better than sinking a stupid nail where the iron turns.

I have a length of 2" I'd for those big ones.

That looks like a great tool for loamy soil, especially where there are a lot of roots.  But in rocky ground I think all of its sharpend edges would quickly get dulled, after which it would just be a funny-looking shovel.

I have always been a big fan of estwing solid steel hatchets.?ÿ

Hatchet / chisel / sod cutter / nail puller and lays flat against your back while driving.
