Stanley Cup Champion New Jersey Shedevils, come skating in to the American Airlines Center tonight. Not only is this an epic rematch of the 2000 Finals, it is also Joe Nieuwndyk Hall of Fame Night, as well as the "halloween game". Ghosts and Gobblins are sure to abound, as well as yours truly. Look for Mrs.Roadhand and myself, just to the left of the Shedevils goal, as we cheer our Dallas Stars to an avenging victory.

Pics and recap around 10ish, unless of course, an epic rematch of honeymoon breaks out 😉

Oh, I thought you were going to tell us to start preparing for Y3K. It is never to soon to start prepareing.

The Devels are not what they were in 2000 or what they were the last few years. The Rangers are getting thier act together, slowly but they are the ones who you better look out for.

Y2K....with benefits

Enjoy the game Mr Roadhand. I likely have the same respect/disdain for those pesky Shedevils as you. They broomed my Wings a while back, but I've blocked that from my memory and hated them since (circa late 90's).

However, do not underestimate those pesky rascals, which I'm certain you won't. As much as I don't like to say this...

...Go Stars! (for this one time only, unless you're playing the Sharks, Ducks or Kings then I'll say it again)

Have fun and hang onto those $9 beers with both hands. 🙂

edit: I forgot to give kudos to ole' Joe. They don't really make 'em like that anymore. Halloween, how fitting...:-P

Just to the Left?

No need to apologize, it's where you belong. As to the honeymoon rematch, we're rooting for you.

I grew up in northern Michigan and when I was young the only TV channel available was CBC from Canada. Every Friday evening was "Hockey Night in Canada!" whether you were ready or not. Great old time games (they weren't old time then, of course) Rocket Richard and his brother, the Pocket Rocket; Jacques Plaunt (sp?) and other legends. There were 6 teams then, four in the States, and every player was Canadian.

Hockey and drinking were our two primary entertainments, so naturally I grew up loving drinking. Hockey, not so much.

Just to the Left?

Stars win 3-1!!!! SheDevils refuse to relinquish the cup. Hmmm someone must not have told them that this was the rematch. Just a few observations from the game; Mike Napoli and Derek Holland were in attendance. The suite that they were in was just behind us. They were signing autographs for some fans just underneath them that could reach. During the first intermission they were on the ice doing a rapid fire shootout. Typical intermission schtick.Just seemed strange seeing them yuck it up out there. Obviously they have a better gut for a disappointing loss than the typical fans, because I know there was almost a cloud hanging over the entire area yesterday day.

Secondly, Devils?? Meh. They can play some D, but their offense is somewhat lacking. I think if anyone can get 2 goals up on them, it is possible to just put it on cruise control the rest of the game. It was nice to see Kovulchuck sitting there on the bench with massive sad face.

Thirdly, I am turning into a hockey snob. Before I just wanted to go and didnt care where I sat. I am getting where If I cant get a ticket somewhere up front, Id rather watch on tv.

Some views from Row B.

Good stuff Mr Roadie

This Wingnut is glad to see that score. Great seats too. I tend to go for first couple rows upper level, in a corner. But right up close front & center is fun too.

Nothing wrong with being a hockey snob. I certainly am one, and proud of that fact. Speaking of which, I just read in the Medical Sports Journal that the doctoring community have finally assigned a label to our ailment.

BLTRWS... Be Like The Red Wings Syndrome

...cheers  😛
