Cheater? What does that mean? How do you cheat in Wii golf?

I sure can't play Mario Kart that well. I have come in first in some races, but there are ones that I can hardly stay on the track on. I cringe at that rainbow race and the one in the gold mine. How do they do it?

I have played on line, but I think you could probably also play by invitation? Not sure how that works. I haven't had friends I have gotten on line with to play it yet. Maybe my little nephew......

I was just teasing you, Tom. 😉

-6 under par on Wii Golf is pretty good! Did you do the full 18 holes? I LOVE that frisbee golf on the Wii Sports Resort! Until my frisbee goes into the damn water. :-S

Yea I think it's something by invitation and you share each others Wii codes so you can both play via WiFi together. After we move and get settled we could plan on trying it and see if we can all play together. I DONT LIKE RAINBOW ROAD EITHER!! My least favorite course and what does Wendell do to me? Picks Rainbow Road. The gold mine I like somewhat. I like Koopa Cape & the one where they go to Mario Mall the best!! I can actually beat Wendell in the mall course. 🙂

Dan, this was a timely post. We bought a Wii for our daughters 14th birthday last week and all the info in this post helped immensely. When her and the other teens aren’t playing, the wife and I can peruse the 16,000 net flicks movies no one wants to see.

Shopping for the Wii really soured us on Best Buy, where we made the purchase. We originally went to a local retailer (Bi-Mart)who advertised the package we wanted at just a little bit more than Best Buy, but they were out of stock.

The technical help at Best Buy was great – very knowledgeable gal who steered us in the right direction.

It all went south at the check-out. Check out gal kindly asked if we wanted additional Best Buy product warranties, “Geek Squad” support, undercoating et cetera. “No thanks”. Check-out gal’s brow furors and in a more serious tone admonishes us for not buying the $40+ insurance. She says we live in a dusty climate and that can mess up the console, or a remote could get stepped on… very expensive to replace. “No thanks”. Then another check-out person shows up to help. And she goes off on us, with a mix of concern and disgust, on how we really really need to buy all this bumper to bumper drive-train extended warranty. Horrible things could happen to the Wii and we will have to pay through the nose if we don’t have Best Buy protection. The way they rattled on about the potential for possible harm and the need to purchase these extras, you’d have thought we were about to be wheeled in for a delicate surgical procedure where the doctors know your chances for survival are next to nothing and they’ve brought in a priest and an estate attorney to get you right with the Lord and your surviving kin. We finally got out with just the Wii, leaving the checkout folks to rend their garments and wail in sorrow at our inevitable fate.

I think they must get a commission for selling these extras. I hadn’t been through such a hard sale since that Amway party I went to in 1980.

Yes, if they were to give me that kind of grief I would have canceled the sale and walked out.
"I got your furrowed brow right here", that's just how I roll, but my wife is used to it by now.

I'm right there with you. I was fairly pissed about how this all played out and was ready to walk, but Maureen pointed out that another hour of last minute shopping was not in the cards, so Best Buy got our money this time...

I like to think about what employee meetings are like, at Best Buy. Visions of Hitler banging his fist on a podium come to mind.....;-)

Ditto. I haven't bought anything from BB in quite a long time because of that, and I don't expect to anytime soon. I'd rather pay more elsewhere.
