I guess nowadays I'm just shocked and a bit suspicious whenever someone is nice to me and wants nothing in return. Such are the times we live in. Sigh.

I've resisted reposting this all afternoon. It's just a good example of how nice some folks can be. I was going to say "used to be"...but I still have hope. There are a lot of ********* in the world, but there are also still warm and good-hearted people that will open their kitchen tables to strangers.

[SARCASM]Oh, I didn't realize you had it taken care of. I guess I can slack off, now.[/SARCASM]

Don't you dare Bill. We still need "regional" coverage to maintain our effectiveness.
Somebody has to keep everybody off the lawns...;)

Mr. Cash I remember that post from the first time you posted it. Choked me up then----chokes me up now.
Some of us were just born that way.
BTW, my greatest personal asset is my humility.

Unfortunately this is something that I'm REALLY good at.
In these days of being politicaly correct, this story may offend some, but I share it because I think it speaks about the culture and the ways of our previous generations, not because I mean any disrespect to any person of any nationality. We rarely work in the city limits, of even the small surrounding towns. Just not our business set up. But almost without fail, if we do, and there is an older Mexican grandmother in the neighborhood, she will come out and offer the crew cold water, something for lunch, and something to take home for the crew's family. I don't mean the same lady appears magically in each town, I mean there are neighborhoods full of these genuinely nice, caring ladies, who come from a culture of caring for other people, and being hospitable. And that way of life is dissapearing rapidly.
Monte,
I have had the same experience with genuine good mexican older ladies.
I sure appreciate them!
