.. I got rid of it today :), I know kind of late but I finally did it :). It is well before Easter so not that much of a shame 🙂
It was not an entire tree though just a big branch of the one but it counts :).We do not install huge tree just a few big branches and put some stuff on it.. May be will switch to artificial one next year.
My sister has an artificial Christmas tree and kept it up so long one year that she hung painted easter eggs on it when Easter came around. She thought it was clever....her big sister, not so much. But, to each their own I guess!
Twelve days after Christmas begins the Mardi Gras season and is when Christmas Trees are supposed to be taken down.
That's how it is in South Louisiana, anyway.
we do a live live tree, so it's out on the deck until Xmas Eve, then in for 2-3 days.
It's still out on the deck waiting to be planted. I am making SWMBO help me survey our landscape berm (locate every bush, tree, shrub, etc) so we can move some things around in a logical fashion. (Oh did I say we? I meant so I can move things around at her direction...)
January 6th
New Years day.
Simple. Whenever the wife tells me to.
if you find an Orthodox Christian around you can pass it on to him/her for Jan 6 Christmas 🙂 that would be not bad sort of recycling of a tree 🙂
.. not every one would accept such tree eh 🙂 may be someone from Gabrovo...???? 🙂
These are few Gabrovo jokes which explain why:
Why don't people from Gabrovo buy refrigerators? Because they can't be sure the light goes off when the door's closed.
Why do people dance in socks during weddings in Gabrovo? Because they listen to the music from the neighbouring town.
Why do people from Gabrovo switch the lamp on and off every now and then when they're reading a book? To save energy while turning pages.
How about this kind of humor ? More here
I had a book of Gabrovo jokes and .... you just feel pain in your belly from laughing while reading it. The most hilarious jokes I have ever heard.
Not yet
Usually take it down around the beginning of the year but this year, it's still up and decorated. I am going to try to take it down this weekend when I get home. We'll see.
Too lazy to put one up
So there is no need to take it down.
We didn't host any kind of Christmas gathering this year so it seemed like too much effort for just the two of us.
we abide by the twelfth night also.
Christmas ends and Carnival seasons begins.
