Indeed, pretty nutty. One can only wonder how many times a vendor or shopper has been hooked by a train and dragged to a bloody death. The video illustrates the difference in concern for public safety between some countries and the U.S.

My thought was just the opposite. Amazing that they have it figured out exactly where and how high they can place stuff. And our RR's worry about a surveyor getting into the r/w to do legitimate work that benefits the RR.

I'm impressed with that general population's ability to take responsibility for their own "public safety". I think they use to call it "common sense".... (after watching the video I'm not so sure that's a good term to use).

I think the reason RR Cos. in the US are so vigilant about encroachment in their R/W has little to do with safety and much to do with our litigious society.

Really shows how primitive and restrictive our planning efforts are because we have placed our comfort and safety in the hands of government, the Judicial system and insurance companies. That video shows the freedom to think for themselves, good planning, knowledge, alertness and the ability to obtain the best use of available space that is efficiently shared with another completely different need, all that in a backward and over crowded country whose people have survived for decades. We need to honor such ability.

Sounds like a hint of anarchy arising in the Great NW..

Problem with Third World country values is that the value of human life is cheap compared to our society.

Who knows what lurks behind the curtains?

You will want to wash those vegetables well...

Passengers will please refrain
From flushing toilets while the train
Is standing in the station. I love you.
We encourage constipation
While the train is in the station.
Moonlight always makes me think of you.

If you simply have to go
When other people are too slow,
There is only one thing you can do.
You'll just have to take a chance,
Be brave, and do it in your pants,
But I'll forgive you, darling. I love you.
