You know you are "Somebody", when you find your pic at "People of Wal mart". ????

Well, that depends..........

I have my pic permanently mounted and framed near the ƒ??security guardƒ? kiosk at my ex-Wal-Mart store. Tried to get in dressed as a cow once and now am on the NO ENTRY list, itƒ??s kinda like a NO-FLY list. ?????ÿ

I have the world's most expensive tomatoes unless they were grown on the International Space Station. Wanted fresh tomatoes and peppers, so built a greenhouse, spent several thousand on materials. Have to start them under grow lights in February, power bill for grow lights, couple hundred bucks at least. Fertilizer, potting soil, automated irrigation system, all adds up. I save the seeds from last year and collect seeds from others to experiment with, the only part that's free. Surveyor with more money than sense? Yep, that's me.?ÿ

Have seen similar summaries of why harvesting your own firewood is so hugely expensive.

@holy-cow Speaking of expensive, have you seen the price of seed corn??ÿ ?ÿWOW!!!?ÿ This is NOT political but with the prices of seed, fuel, fertilizer and equipment going up this much the cost of harvested goods and meats will HAVE to increase just to avoid a loss.

I've only planted corn on any of my ground twice.?ÿ Lost money both times.?ÿ Too shallow to rock so it won't store enough moisture during dry times.

But, this is true of all other seeds now as well.?ÿ Oat seed was $19 per 50-lb bag.?ÿ Oats are the least profitable crop that I attempt to grow for a profit.

Put $11,000 of fertilizer on 78 acres earlier for wheat.?ÿ That is another crop that is not overly profitable in most years.

@holy-cow?ÿ

Does farming have low-ballers like in surveying?

@dougie?ÿ

Technically speaking, yes.?ÿ When you are so tired your butt is dragging the ground, everything at that elevation is also dragging.

Farming is where all your purchases are at retail prices and your sales income is based on wholesale prices.?ÿ They call it "perfect competition" in economics-speak.

I don't know about farming but I do about "Professional House Painters". Talk about crazy estimates. ?????ÿ
