I r3eceived this today.

SOMEONE YOU CALL YOUR FRIEND, WANTS YOU DEAD.

Attention and listen carefully,

I felt very sorry and bad for you, that your life is going to end like this if you don't comply, i was paid to eliminate you and I have to do it within 10 days.

Someone you call your friend wants you dead by all means, and the person have spent a lot of money on this, the person came to us and told us that he wants you dead and he provided us your names, photograph and other necessary information we needed about you. If you are in doubt with this I will send you your name and where you are residing in my next mail.

Meanwhile, I have sent my boys to track you down and they have carried out the necessary investigation needed for the operation, but I ordered them to stop for a while and not to strike immediately because I just felt something good and sympathetic about you. I decided to contact you first and know why somebody will want you dead by all means. Right now my men are monitoring you, their eyes are on you, and even the place you think is safer for you to hide might not be.

Now do you want to LIVE OR DIE? It is up to you. Get back to me now if you are ready to enter deal with me, I mean life trade, who knows, and I might just spear your life, $8,000 is all you need to spend. You will first of all pay $3,000 then I will send the tape of the person that want you dead to you and when the tape gets to you, you will pay the remaining $5,000. If you are not ready for my help, then I will have no choice but to carry on the assignment after all I have already being paid before now.

Warning: do not think of contacting the police or even tell anyone because I will extend it to any member of your family since you are aware that somebody want you dead, and the person knows some members of your family as well.

For your own good I will advise you not to go out once is 7pm until I make out time to see you and give you the tape of my discussion with the person who want you dead then you can use it to take any legal action. Good luck as I await your reply to this e-mail contact: alexigos@megamail.pt
Bye.

William Yahman.

Forward the entire email and source to the FBI

Probably wont do much good, hard to prosecute anyone from Nigeria.

I called the FBI. They told me to fill out an online report, call the local police, and forget about it unless I hear from them again since no specific persons name was mentioned in the email.
The police just left after taking a report.

Waste of FBI/police time.

Some stuff just shouldn't be taken seriously, and this is one. Think about it. If he's already been paid, he would just do it.

Real criminals don't talk, they just do it.

Watch more CSI 🙂

I got an email from FedEx yesterday.

The package delivery information was in a .zip file.

No, I didn't open it.

My recent email was from DHL with a file to download. The kicker was that it was a mass email and mine has similar beginning characters to the ones on the list.

I hit spam immediately....

Exactly, James.

These have been popping up in my inbox as well. Fedex website calls BS on these.
Like they would send tracking data in a zip file *rolls eyes*.

If someone did pay the $3000 up front without any information then likely the hit man would say thanks, then double tap them. Maybe the hit guy low balled the job and was trying to up the difference.

This is from www.newsofthewierd.com

Least Competent Criminals
Marissa Mark, 28, was indicted in March in Allentown, Pa., for hiring a hit man in 2006 via the then-active website HitManForHire.com, agreeing to pay $37,000 to have a California woman killed (though prosecutors have not revealed the motive). Mark allegedly made traceable payments through the PayPal service (which in recent years has righteously refused to process transactions involving online gambling or the WikiLeaks document dumps, but which in 2006 did in fact handle payments for HitManForHire.com). The hit man site was run by an Egyptian immigrant, who told the Las Vegas Sun in 2008 that he would never contract for murder but sought to make money by double-crossing clients and alerting (for a fee) the intended victims. [Allentown Morning Call, 3-22-2011; Las Vegas Sun, 7-20-2008]

After reading that today in a free local paper, I googled William Yahman, the name mentioned in the email, and found the exact same message waas received by several other people. The most recent was in 2008.
