So it's time for a new black mirror for me. I am looking at iPhoneX and the Samsung S9. I used to have iPhones strictly but the last go around I went with a Samsung s6 Active. I have been very pleased with s6 and has held up to all the drops, rain and mud we all come across in the field.
Anyone have any experiences with either the iPhoneX or S9?
If you can wait, I would wait for the S9 active. My wife has the new I-phone and it's been in the shop twice.
My active is a year old and has been very abused, still looks and works great, just like the one I had before it.
?ÿ
I have read that the s9 Active may not happen...Which sucks. I guess there is a S8 Active. I really have been pleased with my S6 Active...
The iPhone X is a thing of the past...
For years, I was a huge Samsung fan. Then, one day, they decided that all of their phones would have curved edges. After about a year of accidentally opening shit that I didn't want to open, I gave up and got a OnePlus 6. Best phone decision I ever made.
I love my Samsung Galaxy, but there are some apps and web pages that really do not work with the curved edges.

My old S6 was never in the shop or had any issue till it begin to lose battery power and I upgraded to the S8 active?ÿbecause of that. The S9 has been dropped on concrete many times, been submerged, even went into the clothes washer for a good 15 minutes. It has some dings and scratches from abuse on the case, but the screen is still good and everything works.?ÿ
I just moved back into my Samsung Galaxy S6, no regrets.

Tell us more about the OnePlus 6 Wendell. Did some research and the phone does look good. How much ram and storage did you get?
8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and about half the price of a top-end Samsung anything. The interface is clean, it runs fast, and the camera is freaking amazing. A screen protector is pre-installed from the factory, a nice slim case is included, plus you get a supercharger and cable (it charges REALLY fast). Oh, and the little volume/vibrate/mute slider on the side is a pretty cool feature.

Who is you cell provider? I beating around a 6 year old Nokia 920 on ATT.
I have a Galaxy S9, it is my first and also my last phone to have a curved edge.
I have T-Mobile and loving it. We used to pay for MLB and NetFlix until we moved to T-Mobile, so we save a pretty nice chunk of change. Haven't really noticed any coverage issues since leaving Verizon, but we don't work in the toolies either.
The OnePlus 6 should work with any provider.
Help me understand, through the use of my vast intellect I have concluded that a Black Mirror that you are referring to is a phone.
But why do you call it that?
Does it have to do with the glass when the screen is not activated?
Is this a millenial thing? Are you a millenial? God I hate that millenial jargon!

I'm guessing here (we'll I'm not actually) that originally, a phone with a screen turned off gives a fairly reasonable reflective surface that can be used as a covert mirror, but these days, with in built front cameras the "electronic mirror" is even better, and even more covert - one could spend hours appearing to be working the phone, while all the time just be surveying one's pretty self.
Black Mirror....Yes the phone is black, and very mirror like. Everyone stares at it, like a mirror.
No. I am not a millennial - I don't think, born in 78. I think most millennials are circa 90's.

It should, but it doesn't.?ÿ It won't run on the Verizon network (CDMA), even though *most* of the hardware is built-in.?ÿ Apparently there are some frequencies missing, and they're ones that Verizon uses.?ÿ I was planning to get a OnePlus to replace my S5, but research killed that idea.
Edit:?ÿ I just checked, and it won't work with Sprint, either.
This is the phone I was holding out for until I figured out it would not work on Verizon.
It has FLIR and Laser assisted distance measure. I was wanting to use it to track down moles!
Well for better of for worse...I went iPhone Xs Max. Throughout the years Apple has always proved to be a solid device. I hope this holds true...at least for the next 24 months.?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ ??ÿ
