My first full time mentor was from Pennsylvania and he was still stuck in the stone age and as stubborn as a fence post.
He taught me about hard work, you just grab it and do it until lightning shows up.
His plats were from post card size to ledger and he never moved into using Rapidiograph Pens. Used crowfoot or inkwell.
Everything was calculated with a hand crank Monroe on DMD sheets.
He was also a Forester and we cruised timber half the time. That wore out more boots and work clothes than any other thing I've ever done.
