There is a company that makes heavy duty snap ties that fasten in a similar fashion as that ratchet strap.
They have cleats that are positioned over the tire tread. The video showed them spinning the tires pretty fast in the mud and they worked without breaking.
$25 a pair and I decided to pass. Otherwise they were a really good idea for occasional use where you don't want to take the time to chain up.
