I left sunny AZ in my rear view mirror a couple weeks ago, and landed in a nice spot in not so sunny MI (Brighton area). Job is great!! I even get a regular paycheck, and as a bonus the people are really a great bunch. More later.
Basically, the small mostly consulting engineering firm got tired of hiring contractor surveyors (like I used to be, and many of us still are), so they wanted a full time PLS. Plus willing to fill in as an inspector.
The weather I left behind didn't follow me though. Highs in the mid 30's ain't quite like 80ish, but is what I expected. 😉

Got a pleasant surprise yesterday. We nabbed 11th row center seats for a concert by Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders) at the old Masonic Auditorium in downtown Mowtown. Great show and the old gal hasn't lost a thing.
Sorry for lost tonight gainst Montreal, can't win them all...
Chrissie Hynde / Pretenders great stuff. Private life remains one of my favorite all-time song, such a cool tune.
