Last fall I noticed it's started to replace paper train tickets in Europe; the conductor just scans the image emailed to your phone.
RFID's
went skiing at Jay Peak, Vermont, which is just a couple miles from the Quebec border. Instead of a lift ticket, they give you a paper card about the size of a credit card but thinner. You place the card in your pocket and it automatically activates a gate (like a turnstyle) whrn you ski up to the chairlift.
Hahaha not me!! I'm not going out in that weather!! Angel doesn't do cold weather well. 😐
