So I dropped off a survey to a title company - I walked in and saw the most gorgeous redhead - heart was thumping, mouth dropped open, felt like I was going to pass out.
Couldnt work the rest of the day- couldnt get her out of my mind. I had to call her and ask her out - didnt think i had much of a chance- she is considerably younger than me.
That was eleven years ago- Happy 10 year wedding anniversary to my wife! and who is still an Escrow Officer 🙂

I was doing a survey, walking down the property line, when my friend pointed to the red haired girl that was working at the day care. "Hey isn't that the girl we just met the other night?"
When we met I thought she had a boyfriend, so I didn't ask her out.
But I had thought about her often.

She had gone inside before I could talk to her.
When I got home I looked up the number to the daycare and called her.
That was about 28 years ago. We've been married 25 years.
I've told her that it was by God that we connected on that day.
Out of all the places to be surveying, somehow I end up right where she is working!
She (much later) confessed to me that she didn't recognize me, until I called her.
She said she got the kids inside quickly when she saw a couple of scruffy looking characters walking around in the back yard! :-$

Never slept with an escrow agent. Slept with an engineer, though. Dang near married her.

I fell in love with my wife when we were both 16. She was the first girl that ever even talked to me. Needless to say I was enamored with her. My best friend asked her out before I could recover from the fact that a girl actually spoke to me. (Other than being chastised by "older women" for some sort of juvenile activity, such as spiting, trying to ignite firecrackers while driving, and trying to persuade some decrepit alcoholic outside the ABC liquor store to purchase for me Crown Royal, or beer, depending on the financial circumstances at the time. etc.)
As with all pubescent males the testosterone went wild. I threw caution to the wind and called her and asked her out. Apparently she wasn’t that interested in my best friend and consented.
3 grown children, and 42 years of marriage later, we still love each other as if it was 1969!
